PowerBulbs is having another one of their usual 20% of sales for automotive bulbs.

A UK company that stock mainly Philips and OSRAM branded "performance" (brighter) and "styling" (blue) bulbs. Good prices (with the 20% discount) compared to prices here.

I've purchased from them before and shipping took about 2-3 weeks.

X-tremes h4 are $35 on eBay UK based powerseller

    • Just got to be careful about fake Philips on eBay, but otherwise good find!

  • Highly recommending the OSRAM Nightbreaker. Not blue or white light output but it really lights up the road. Oh I bought them from PB as well.

They also provide you with a set of w5w as part of the deal too.

    • How are these at lighting up the road in the wet?

My factory D2S are fine on hi beam, but in the wet on LOW beam, the road just isnt lit up.

I know alot of people talk about the Kelvin colour and what looks cool (blue tinge) but I am really after a super effective bulb that will light up wet (dark) bitumen.

The H7 Halogens seem to do a better job on wet roads than my car with the Bi-Xenons.

Look forward to your reply and anyone else's experiences.

  • Cheers! Needed a new bulbs as I'd been driving with only one for a few weeks. Nice deal.

    • These guys have got my bulbs wrong.. let's see how this goes..

  • Thanks to the OP for reminding me I needed to get some new bulbs.
And to sonicentropy for reminding me that they're cheaper again on Ebay.
Turns out the Ebay seller 'metrodirectuk' mentioned above, is actually 'Power Bulbs Ltd' (according to the Paypal receipt) - so they've got 2 Ebay accounts and a website all with different prices.

      …and here too

      www.carbulbsdirect.com

      without the 20% discount

      • But aat least that one is not cheaper than their Ebay shop. ;)

      • Wow! Why didnt someone tell me earlier! Thanks!

edit: It seems the eBay store and carbulbs site doesn't have as big of a range. I bought some OSRAM Nightbreaker D1S bulbs from PowerBulbs, but they don't have these on the other sites

  • I need a set urgently I was pulled over for having HID's althought they are tilted down I really need brightness for driving home from the sticks every night. I will move my hid to fog lights I rarely use them
