  • the price looks cheap, and one knows is it a harvy duty one? Burnning sale the harvy duty one for about $80

    • +1

It won't be a heavy duty one. It'd be the same as the Bunnings ones advertised for $15-$30 (price dependent whether on sale).

I would recommend the heavy duty ones over this, but for small things it might be okay.

      • +3

Yep, Bunnings always have these cheap! Currently selling for $15.98. I've got some good hd boltless ones in my garage and just wanted something cheap for the shed, so I grabbed 3 of these. And, well… They're cheap alright! The Bunnings ones say 50kg per shelf. Well that may be if you put 40kg of it towards the legs, coz a 20kg bag of cement or fertilizer will buckle the shelf!
Ps. Also leaning on it while picking something up from the floor may also buckle the shelves!

        • @snoop yep ditto

i bought 2 of the ones from bunings and ended up binning the both of them. horrid quality.

        • Agree, these are so cheap for a reason - hell every one I saw assembled in bunnings was already buckled without anything on it (so likely just from people leaning on it etc). I did myself a favor and spent a few more $$ on the ones with mdf shelves over metal supports, much better.

  • It's advertised on the front page (click '3' to show the ad, then click the ad when shown), so I don't think you need to be a member.

The pressure washer seems cheap at $49 (save $100)?

  • +2

I'm kinda cautious with this one - remember the recent toolbox sale and there's hardly any stock/not willing to sell it at the advertised price? If it's anything as poorly made as the Bunnings or Supercheap $20ish shelves, please wear gloves when assembling it and your hands will thank you for it…

    • i certainly do remember that toolbox i managed to get 2 for that price at my local repco.
but this shelf looks like a normal cheapo so i dont think this is a repeat of the toolbox saloe.
still i might get one :)

  • I've got 6 of the similar ones from Bunnings at $15.
3 on each side of the garage, screwed together to make 2 'big' units.
Each shelf top is rated at 50kg.

Definitely not "heavy duty", not for $10.. But if all you need is somewhere to store garden tools, boxes and general crap. There's nothing wrong with them.
Just ddon't overload or run into them with your car.

  • Picked up the pressure washer for $49 at my local Repco, went halves with my brother in it.

I'll be hanging onto the receipt as it will get heavy use and I don't have high hopes for a long life out of it.

No Repco or car club membership is required, anyone can walk in and buy them.

    • Update, it broke with less than 10 minutes use.

I'll see if I can exchange it for another one but there was only 1 left after I bought mine yesterday and its probably gone already.

      • wow… i was looking to get the pressure washer in this deal.
lets us know how the second one goes

        • @ezarc can you define "broke"? what actually broke?

i have the 2200w one from repco from one of there last sales a couple months back and its still going strong.

        • I bought one about 6 months ago and it's now not working (compressor kicks in 2 secs and cuts off so no water). I used it about a dozen times, cheap crap now I can't remember where the receipt is :(

        • +2

when you pull the trigger does water come out even when its off?

ive had a similar issue iwth my old one where it would sometimes get crap stuck in the little hole in the nozzle and had to clear it with something thin enough to poke into it like a needle then run tap water through it backwards (disconnect it from the rest of the wand) to flush it out fixes it. nothing to do with the washer but just crap coming down the line from the tap.

        • You're a superstar, i was trying to work out how i can take it back with no receipt and now its fixed!

        • :)

helping others…. its the OzB way :)

glad it sorted it for you

        • While I was using it the gun felt like it expanded in my hand then there was a big splutter and then water just started dribbling out. I cleared the jet with the pin that was included and tried and it still wouldnt work, then checked again and could still clearly see daylight through it but the water still had no pressure and just dribbled out the sides.

I took it back on Sunday and the guy said he will have another one there for me on Tuesday afternoon.

I have to say though it worked pretty well for the 10 mins or so that it did work.

Still happy with the deal even if I have to take them back a few times to get one that works properly.

        • water just started dribbling out.

          of where?

all washers get gun problems. even the expensive ($5k plus) ones ive used. often there is an easy fix (as above) but not all fixes are quite as easy

claiming them to be "dodgy" simply caus the gun gets an issue is just a little…. umm… quick to jump to a conclusion?

while it being in warranty, returning it is an option, but even better is to understand WHY it isnt doing what you expect and it might be an easier fix than you expected (as basicerno experienced)
