I know we’ve got to be dreaming, but my partner and I want to book a holiday during the easter break, this year. My partner rarely gets time off work but they’ve given him a whole week (how kind!) and I’ve taken leave at the same time so we have from the 18th to the 27th of April free. Just wondering if anyone has spotted any deals, anywhere (national or international) including flights, hotels etc. We don’t really have a set budget, just want to make the most of the time we have. We're located on the North Coast, NSW so can travel from Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Sydney (or to these locations!) I know its late notice, thanks in advance for any ideas you can throw our way!

those deals don't (or don't cheaply) cover this week.
It will be difficult to find something cheap as it is school holidays, Easter and Anzac Day all rolled into 1 week.
Australian destination are bound to be expensive. You are better off spending some money on an international flight and going somewhere where there are not school holidays. I suggest Osaka or Tokyo flying out of the Gold Coast on Jetstar. They may not be the cheapest airfares ever, but once you are in Japan, hotels are cheap, food is cheap, entertainment is cheap and the people and culture are great. Plus you won't get robbed blind by gypsies either. No Japanese language? It doesn't matter. Almost everything is written in Japanese and English and if you get lost, someone always has enough English to help you out.
Thankyou so much for your advice, we are booked in for a week in Japan! Even got a sale fare ($299) for the gold coast – Tokyo leg! Would never have considered it without your suggestion, really appreciate your help.
