"Make sure nobody in the house goes thirsty! With a large, two litre capacity the family-sized Aqua Water Softener Water Filter Jug is big enough to ensure that your always have enough clean water on hand."

Allow me to disagree with this statement. If this jug is 2L (like the one I've got at work) It only "produces" 1L of filtered water at a time and that's not enough for a family. Good price though

Yep, I'd say that's true. Then again, at this price it's almost buy one get one free - so if you get two, you'll have 2L :D

    • The other 1L is sitting waiting to be filtered up the top. So technically it's still 2L capacity, and all 2L will be filtered (in time).

Either that, or take 'em to the ACCC…

      • unfortunately it doesn't work like that, You can only put 1L of water at a time. if you put 2L (put 1L first and then wait for it to be filtered and add 1L more) when you pour it in to a glass you will drink mixed filtered and unfiltered water. Not a drama but not exactly family friendly.

We used to have that problem with our Brita classic jug, but we've just upgraded to a Brita maxtra jug and the lid has a more secure fit, preventing mixing of unfiltered with filtered water. But yes you have to wait for the 1st litre to filter before adding the 2nd. </firstworldproblem>

  • I made a ~9.5L water filter from 2 homebranch 10L water container and use this Doulton as the filter … for now. ( i can show you how )

Saving $ for the Berkefeld which good for 10years
