Hey all,
I just bought my first car recently (woo!), and I went to my fill in my car at United. I was about to fill up using 95 as I had decided against using e10 in the new car, but noticed that United had a paper sign that said upto 10% ethanol in their 95, and 98 products.
I'm not very car savvy, still learning the ins and outs, so can someone explain, is this 95 different to 95 at woolies/coles stations?
How does this differ to e10 at woolies/coles?
the e10 95 blend was actually cheaper than unleaded 91 (no ethanol), by about 3c/L, is this because ethanol has less fuel economy?
I ended up using 91 instead, because it was the only non e10 fuel there. Right decision?
Thanks,
The 91, 95, etc are the RON (Octane Rating). Do not use a lower number than what your car is specified for, whatever your view on E.
Yes, E has less energy per unit so will give you less km/l, so cheaper.
