How did you get access to the coles catalog a full day early? I was under the assumption they'd keep it in an underground bunker or something similar up until release date!
I must live in that underground bunker then because I got the catalogue in the mail today. Coles also deliver the catalogues to the stores earlier in the week.

I went to Coles yesterday and twix packs were $2 as well. so give it a + =P

If you don't like every bargain, don't click on it. I don't expect everyone to like the same things, but I appreciate deals being shared. 50% off is a good deal and even if you get sick of them, it's a good deal for someone else, so let's thank the poster for sharing.
I appreciate that you didn't -ve the deal just because you don't like it. That annoys me much more as it discourages people sharing real deals.
I find them very annoying. If every grocery special were to be posted, OzBargain would be drowning in 100s of them every week.
Agreed…there's always "specials" at Coles and Woolies. But IMO, saving $2 on a packet of Mars Bars is hardly a "bargain". It's not something I'd rush out to get that's for sure…unless I was fat…which I'm not. :D

I've seen the $2 Mars/Twix fun size @ Coles for the past 2-3 weeks, they also have the $1 Flybys thing whatever it is. IIR this was already mentioned on OzBargain.Can we customise our viewing to exclude categories?
That way, you could filter out all grocery deals, provided the person bothers to change it from th 'apparel' default.I still don't understand why it annoys people so much; why not just ignore it?

It's just that some of the pretty good bargains don't show on the front page…they are usually on the 2nd page…which I know, it's just a click away…but usually I just want a quick glance at what's been posted.
A personalised filter would be handy though.

Did any one notice the Mars prodcut changed ingredients? They using vegitable oil now. It's healthier tho, but it's not tasting that good anymore…. sigh.
I didnt notice that, however is it just me or do most chocolates (fun size/full size blocks) seem to be getting smaller compared to last year? If im right, it might explain why we're seeing ~$2 more often than we used to
it is getting smaller than it used to be. That's why you can get it for $2.00
