    :s The official Killzone twitter tweeted you don't need PS+.

    Frankly, I doubt there are many people who have a PS4 and don't have a PS+ account.

      na I didn't have psplus and it didn't let me download it, said only for psplus members, so I tested to see if I could play battlefield 4 online and it gave me 2 days of free psplus so I went back into the psstore and downloaded killzone shadow fall. Didn't realise the free trial period doesn't start until 4th of march ><

        I edited the post. EU accounts do require PS+. American accounts don't seem to. Seems odd, but that is how it is.

        Make a free US account. You get a free two week Plus trial also.

        I tried to, but it asked for credit card details which for some reason didn't like my mastercard, putting in a fake US address was fairly simple though.

      i have a ps4 and specifically do NOT have a ps+ account, and probably have for some time.

      its a conscious decision not to pay for network gaming —- when the ps3 n/w gaming was free!

      for each their own…dont make assumptions.

        I don't need to explain the other benefits of PS Plus to you do I assuming you have had a PS3 by the context of your post. Needless to say you are in an extreme minority.

        Interestingly, it's not as much a minority as you (and I) believe(d).

        Of course "more than half" could mean 99%, but that would be something they would boast about, so it would be safe to surmise that the value sits between 50-60%.

  I have an AU(EU) account, don't have PS+ or a PS4 and was able to add to basket and checkout.

  I am already downloading Killzone to my PS4 and my PS+ has expired. Thanks OP for letting us know the deal, looking forward to playing this on March 4.

  OK. I am getting conflicting reports about needing or not needing a PS+ account. I guess people can just try it out or sign up for a U.S. account and try that out. I don't have a PS4 so unfortunately I can't test it myself.
