How does it compare with QBond which is also around the same price range?
It is Cyanoacrylate-based adhesive - think Super Glue.
yes it is a Cyanoacrylate adhesive
It's hard to beat the 3g tubes sold on ebay 3 for $1.
They do dry out after you open them within a few weeks, but even with the fancy needle lid on this I reckon it would dry out before I used 20g.According to Wikipedia, cyanoacrylate-type adhesives have a shelf life of 1yr unopened and 1 month opened. I have been keeping mine in the fridge and they seem to last a bit longer. But according to Wikipedia this only works for unopened containers; once opened, keeping them in the fridge produces condensation and the moisture stuffs it up.
Turbobond is Cyanoacrylate bond, will last over 2 years when stored in the refrigerator.
If it is a good product at a descent price, it should sell it-self, no need for facebook likes.
One Facebook Like is not a lot to ask for 50% Off.
I've been reading your comments on other items, your an habitual wingher!
That's the nicest thing anybody said about me.
Thank You
@REP, is this similar to, or the same as Maverick Bond?
I've been using Maverick Bond for years and just went to their website to compare it to your Turbobond, but now http://www.maverickbond.com/ redirects automatically to http://www.turbobond.com.au/. Is it the same product with different packaging, or a totally new product?
I've used Maverick Bond very successfully for many years and fixed hundreds of gadgets and odds-and-ends with the filler material. Fantastic stuff. It took me about three years to use up my first 20g bottle, which I kept in the fridge all the time. I've kept the new 20g bottle in the fridge for nearly 3 years now, it hasn't hardened or dried up. I very carefully wipe any glue residue off the nozzle after replacing the cap, to stop it drying shut. I usually also place a pin in the top of the bottle before closing it, so that if the tip does dry shut from a drop of glue I missed, I can pull it out gently with pliers. I noticed at a trade show that the newer bottles had a pin already embedded in the cap, like the Turbobond.
Yes it is the same type of product as MB.
I used to sell the MB many years ago but then they went O/S.
Never seen this before. How does it compare with liquid nail?
