Sounded great, but unfortunately they are significantly dearer on the hotel I had in mind compared to booking.com. Check before you book!

  • Cheers for this. Just in time for a trip I'm planning.

nice find. and if you're booking over $600 you can get $100 off with amex, details here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/134298

  • I found they are expensive too.
Last year I booked many hotels in Dubai and Europe via them.
The price was similar to other websites then after discount code was good bargain.
But now they price is dearer, after discount probably same as other website.

My advice as a seasoned (stuffed??) traveller is to treat each hotel booking exercise as a blank canvas and explore EVERY option you're aware of because NOBODY has the best price consistently. I use Expedia (.com AND.com.au), Travelocity, Zuji (and they're not the same!!, Webjet, Trivago, Hotels Combined, Booking.com, Kayak, Neatgroup (must have Visa), BookingBuddy, Mobissimo, Travel.com, Priceline, Hotwire, Agoda, Alpharooms, Hotels.com, Hotelclub, Venere, Otel.com, Vayama, BookIt, Trip Advisor and that's not the complete list or any sort of order. In any one year I might book hotels through most of these sites. Some of the sites I've named are aggregators with other imbedded sites and often going DIRECTLY to that imbedded site will get you a different price!! Go figure…. Also, forget the tired old chestnut that going direct to a hotel will beat the online agents. It may do sometimes. I just booked a room in Rome (4* near Pantheon) in May on Otel.com, four nights A$1127 and the best the hotel could do was A$1750!! Yikes!! The best prices I ever get are on Priceline's Name Your Own Price, however it's a bit of a lottery as you're booking blind as to exactly which hotel you will get in a given area. You can narrow the field however by choosing a star rating (prefer 4*) in which you KNOW which hotels they'll chose from by doing a Trip Advisor lookup for that star rating/area….:-)

  • Just updated with $50 off $300 spend.
