What happened to all the Flingshot USB posts from a year ago?

    • +3

Look at flingshots websitem… They shut down

      • That's a damn shame.

I admit I never liked their method of adding competitions to their deals to get more votes but it's always good to have more sellers. I always thought their ssd and USB sticks prices were reasonable and that iPad keyboard war was memorable too.

Sadly, they've flung themselves of a cliff.

      • 3 dead USB drives from them says it all for me

This is the same deal that we had a few months back right? I picked up about a dozen of them (from a VERY big bucket, no broden here), very useful for lending to friends or for handing into lecturers. They are fairly slow though.

    • The limit would have been 2 per customer.

      • They said it had to be 2 per transaction so they just put through 6 transactions when I did it…

I bought some last year for $1 ea… Quite good for everyday use…

Yeah I bought 3 of them when they were $1. Never used any though.

      • I bought 10 of them last year when they were $1.

Opened 5, but I stop opening new ones as I can't distinguish them from each other :)

        (need labeling or marking)

  • good drives i bought about 10 last year

postage kills the deal.. No deal. neg

    • Yeah, the postage really kills it. You can pick up a 2 x 8GB for less than this ($9.90 vs $9.95) from Big W
      http://www.bigw.com.au/electronics/computers-office/drives-s…

    • You have the option to pick it up for free. That makes it a good deal. No need to neg the post.
Edit: and it is hard to find available at store for pickup. On quick search, didn't find in NSW, some store in VIC though including Chadstone.

  • How have they not ran out of stock. They do this like every year.

  • Got 5 from O'Connor store WA). Plenty in stock. Say's $5 each but scanned at $2. Asked what the limit was an told 5 per person.

  • It was $1 last year…but still a good deal…

  • No $2 ones at Warrawong however quite a few 8GB at $5 ea.

  • not available anymore.
