[US Club Nintendo Offer] Free Pokémon X and Y when You Buy Nintendo 3DS XL/2DS and One Game

Just saw a not bad deal for the US Club Nintendo peeps, register codes for the console and a game and get Pokemon X or Y as well. We've had some pretty good deals in the past for AUS as well, so I guess we're not entirely left in the dark - but would be good to get some more too :P

I think more importantly Nintendo should be pushing for some Wii U stuff, by the looks of it Pokemon X and Y gave the 3DS market a huge boost. While I think Super Smash and MK8 will do something similar, it won't be anywhere near the same level imo.

"The six games are Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Yoshi’s New Island, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land and LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins." - so I guess it's mainly a deal if you were gonna purchase one of them anyway, not sure about the play-ability of most of these. I know New Leaf is always fun, and Yoshi's New Island is a new title I believe? (Nintendo getting creative with these names..).

    Hey been thinking about picking up a 3DS XL for a while now. Not sure I understand though is this a U.S only deal? Do we buy an AU 3DS but register it as if it's the U.S?

      You can't do that since the console is region locked.

    As far as the 'playability' goes for these games, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Mario Kart 7 are all absolutely fantastic. MK7 is the best one of the franchise, and DKCR is a must play if you haven't played the Wii version.

    Yoshi's New Island is set to be great. However, personally I don't like Super Mario 3D Land when I got it in the free deal. And I haven't played Lego so I can't say.

    On the topic of the Wii U, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is pretty good…. But I wouldn't buy a Wii-U just for it, I just happened to have one from the crazy cheap K-mart christmas sale. C'mon Nintendo. Sneak in a Star Fox or an F-Zero or get an exclusive Megaman reboot and you're gold.
