I got some a week ago for $39.95 at Bulleen…

    • I just checked the suburbs near my place (Forest Hill). At some places they are charging $44.95 for pick up as well.

That's what it says on the website, but instore they often have different prices.
It probably depends on what nearby competitors are advertising at the time.

The taste has got even worse since they moved the brewery from Thailand to China. Anyone know where to get Japan brewed Asahi?

      Tokyo

    • Costco, had the Japan stuff a couple of weeks ago for around $42.
Or buy the 1L or 2L cans

    • They have moved the brewery they still brew this in three countries. Thailand, China and the UK.

getting hard to find the Japanese brewed slabs in Australia, Uk brewed is passable, Chinese brewed is headache in a bottle.

I don't think I tried Japanese brew, but I quite like Thai version. UK is reasonable, but Chinese is absolutely horrible - it foams like crazy and tastes disgusting.

I struggle to understand how they can allow some of their products to be so brand damaging.

At least with the likes of Heineken, it tastes good no matter where it's brewed.

    • I don't agree with the last bit of your comment about Heineken. Had some in Italy last month and it tasted like piss water, I'd never purchase it over there again.

  • So I went to Dan's last night after the 2x Corona deal, and I saw this guy: http://flic.kr/p/kk7ijX

He was pushing himself around the car park, bike wouldn't start. So I held the slab for him while he roll started it, and he rode off with it balanced on the fuel tank like that. LEGEND.
