    No, just no.

      What's the payback period?

      • +4

Last month he posted this 500 bucks more expensive, makes you think why is he selling it all? Anybody seen the price on mt gox?

        • -1

Mate, I am just a reseller, so when the manufacturer reduce the price I reduce mine too. Nothing to do with the mtgox. Its still 1BTC=$720 in australia. Everyone follows bitcoin knows its just for temporary because of the mtgox problem.

          https://spendbitcoins.com.au/

I believe the current reduction of price is because drop of BTC, so that people can still make their return of investment.

        • +6

price is gonna go up soon

          Any evidence for that claim?

Neg vote for bullshitting and not an actual 'deal'

Over 3 months just to break even, assuming a price of $600/BTC and $0.26AUD/kWh, and that's assuming difficulty doesn't increase (it increases exponentially as the past has shown)

        • +1

Thats is what happens everytime there is a crash, check the btc graph. Please dont criticize if you were not following bitcoin for the past few months. I am just trying to be helpful here and put all the actual values, anyone currently mining here can verify my claims are actual values. I kindly request you to remove the negative vote. As like any other deals posted here this is a great price for this item, you can check on ebay for lowest prices, all the other prices are far away from mine.

I have removed the misleading comment as well. Thanks

        • +4

So in other words, speculation on your part

You're not 'trying to be helpful', you're trying to sell a product, and you're twisting the truth to do it.

As a matter of fact I do 'know about it'. I've known about Bitcoin since late 2010.

This isn't a deal, this is a ripoff with no guaranteed return - not even a guarantee to earn your money back. Stop giving false advice and peddling garbage as a deal to be posted here.

        • So you should know bitcoin is all about speculation., I am not starting a debate here, I appreciate your concern and I have removed the misleading comment.

        • If the manufacturer has reduced their price, why is your price going up after tomorrow as mentioned on your eBay page?

      • payback period is depends on the btc value, I have quoted every details in the description like how much btc it makes a day and the BTC value I took etc for calculating the ROI.

  • Great Ebayer. Exactly as described and great communication. e***m ( 18Yellow star icon for feedback score in between 10 to 49) 21-Feb-14 20:00

Nothing like a stable investment, amirite?

The only ones making money from bit coins now are the hardware producers!!

    • some what true, and the early adopters of bitcoin hardware or get the hardware in cheap, sometimes traders, its like every other investment, no investment is risk free.

I have no idea what this thing does…. if it is a miner will it actually dig its way into the ground and dig up gold nuggets?

    • It will mine bitcoins for you.

      • Please explain… how can it make money from nothing?

        • You're converting electricity into a piece of secure data (which is 'hard' to acquire) [aka. bitcoin].

A mint does the same thing, electricity and materials into printed currency.

      • Couldn't you use any normal computer for this … ok … maybe not that efficient … but why not …

    • It'll dig into your wallet

if the price of btc will up, instead of buying the machine, i rather buy the btc at $712 / 1 btc, wait till next month when the price is up to $1350 = profit

    • tru'

    • Yea or you rather buy $700 worth of DOGE coins and you know it'll go up, it's already doubled in a few months…

  • Can someone please explain the process for the uninitiated ?

Buy direct from the manufacturer for 1.45btc which at Coinjars current exchange rate: $672AUD x 1.45 = $974.40 inc delivery

      https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140107162…

And yes that includes delivery - and for some odd reason GST or other charges are not levied on delivery in AU (even when the BTC exchange rate places the converted price over $1k, so $974 is effectively the in hand delivered price.

I'm not knocking the product - as anyone into bitcoin mining knows the trade offs - but it isn't really that quiet (almost to annoying to have under your desk) and it also blows out a heap of heat, so it will either need to be run in a large room, or a room with A/C on pretty much 24x7.

With the current difficulty makes 0.036BTC a day. ROI in 6months, Calculation of ROI based on 1BTC=$1000 which is the normal rate(I know btc price is crashed now, but the history tells its go up and down all the times, max rate recorded was 1BTC=$1350)

If your basing this on a 6 month ROI when BTC will be worth $1000 wouldn't it be better to buy $1500 in BTC now (1 BTC = $570USD) then selling the bit coin when it gets back to $1000?

    • every forum I've read on hardware ends up with this argument .. I guess the aim isn't just the ROI but the ongoing income which it can generate .. so really it should be looked at at what the life expectancy is .. but since BTC prices are still fairly wild, and the mining difficulty rate is unknown its impossible to accurately know this. From what I can tell hardware is only worth it if you have the cash to loose, time to wait and free power ( ie loose the running cost - plug it in at work ).

  • I still dont no what this is???

  • +2
    1. Your ebay listing says ROI of 5-6 weeks, mentioned in the description, opens you up to an 'item not a described' case …..
    2. 90 day warranty on electronics, in Australia….?
  • How long does if take to make 1bitcon?
    So 1 bitcoin = $1000aud??

Can i use 3-4 of this at the same time to make more bitcoins??

    • It's variable.
      Not quite.

      Technically yes.
