Hmm…can't really think of when you'd need something like this.
Yeah, no usb and the fact it's only vga and not dvi….money could certainly be better spent on a cheap system…..that said, I've got a couple of these (not the same model, but similar) just 'cause they're 'gadgets' - but they are rarely used…..
Some businesses use them to be able to use a single PC from multiple rooms (such as a medical practice).
This looks expensive, but I don't know what prices are normally like..
Maybe a recording studio so the noisy computer is not in the room?
It would be interesting to know if the cat5 can pass through a switch and/or "real" remote access via WAN.
Not suggesting that the deal doesn't represent good value, but for those dollars why wouldn't you get a cheap computer, netbook, etc and use VNC software instead?
