JUST received an email from canon with latest specials. This appeared to be the best. Can't say anything about quality but $299 is cheap for a canon projector imho.

$1099 is misleading. It may been that RRP 3-4 years ago, but now the device is outdated.

Pretty old specs, I certainly wouldn't be paying more than $299 for it but a 'bargain' no less :)
I actually don't think this is at all worthwhile. Who really needs such a low res projector? Even TA bosses should be inventioniI 1280x720
not sure what TA bosses are but this res should be fine for a power point preso or two ;-)
TA = tight arse. Yeah its usable, but as soon as you need to show a spreadsheet or table or graph with values it can be a bit tight. Maybe good for presos but not necessarily for training etc
