Line Trimmers

Hey guys
Im looking for a good Line Trimmer, after a Battery type one but electric will do if needed as I only have a smallish lawn

Been through 3 Ozito Bunnings line trimmers 1 battery and 2 electric due to the battery dying in 7min and the electric ones spooling the cord out too quickly which couldn't be stopped. Went through zoo much cord on a small lawn in one session.

Anyone recommend a good one?

  • I got a Ryobi one that uses a long lasting 36V battery, which I find handy as I also can use the same battery in my mower from the same range. I have a medium sized front and backyard and the mower can cover the whole area on a single battery charge. I haven't actually used it as a line trimmer yet, but instead I've been using the brush cutter attachment that came with it to clear a load of overgrown grass in the backyard. Since that's a lot more work than basic line trimming, I am pretty sure the battery would last plenty long enough for that purpose!

  • Iwas looking at the Ryobi ones but the 36V is too $$ for me, the 18v any good?

  • I got the ryobi 18v one. Mainly got it because my petrol one is a pain to start and I already had the ryobi drill, hedge trimmer and batteries.

I got the blower, trimmer combo with a bigger (4ah) battery and it is ok. Not very powerful, but the battery does my hedges and edges in one charge unless I've let them get away too much. I've got 200m2 of lawn in 4 sections (lots of edges). The buffalo is hard going when thick but I didn't expect miracles from a battery trimmer anyway. Overall happy though.

  • Yer saw this deal at buntings for $200 line trimmer and blower

    Might have to get it
