Gutter cleaning, do you do it or get someone to do it?

Hi

House gutters need cleaning, they havent been cleaned for years. its a single story house, not sure if I should get up there or try to get someone to do it for me.

Had a couple of quotes, range from one guy asking 75 bucks using a blower to a guy asking for nearly 400.

Also not sure if water blasting is the way to go, vacuum cleaning or using a blower?

I live in Melbourne Northern suburbs so any advice appreciated.

    I do it myself with a blower. It is a tedious job, but I have trees all around and would go broke paying someone.
    It was a lot worse before I got a blower.

    Blower and then clear up the leaves from the ground?

    What happened to those sucker/butcher jobs, then you could pour it into your compost/garden?

    I recently did mine by hand with a ladder, but I only had 2 sides to do. Sure it is tedious, but it was a nice day to be outside in the sun.

    Comes down to what your time would be worth, and whether the costs for someone else doing it are worth much less.
