I'm selling my computer on both eBay and Gumtree at the moment. It's a pretty expensive computer and I was looking for local pickup. However I had someone message me on eBay regarding interstate shipping to a place near Cairns. Has anyone here shipped a desktop computer before? Keep in mind that mine is very heavy. If it is ok to ship it interstate how should I package it and and what courier company should I use based on price/quality? Thanks.

How to pack a desktop PC

If you have a heavy GPU or heatsink inside your desktop, take those out and pack them seperately. If the box gets dropped, what happens is that the GPU or heatsink can fall out of it's mounted position and the result won't be pretty.
