TV connection call out charge?

Hello everyone!

Just move to a new place and my TV doesnt seem to receive any signal. Get a technician to have a look, and the problem turned out to be me connecting to the wrong port :(. Got charged $80 for call out, and $15 to get an extension cable. Does the price sound right? Kinda expensive I think!

Yes, its a fair amount imo.
Regardless how easy the fix was, the technician has to attend to your house and investigate.

  • $80 is cheep if call dicksmith it would been $148. $15 for extension cable is ok to. if i was u next time check every port in your new place. I have 4 pay TV only 1 TV port. also have speaker port that same look as TV ports.

  • That is very cheap… it is not only the technician's time you are paying for it is also the other costs behind his service as well… insurance, vehicle and all its costs, etc, etc, There is a long list.

You could have tested every possible connection yourself?
