-FYI, Jetstar have cancelled 33% of their Japan flights for June/July due to the "Swine Flu" (real reason is dwindling demand ever since services began..), so I dont know if they will cancel from August.
Great Idea, since I already got two of my previously purchased flights cancelled. What is the process of getting compensated through credits cards? Can anyone shed light with that, since I understand that the airline refunds you in full (albeit three months later for me). Would the compensation be separate from the airline's refund?
Aw man… with taxes ex Sydney, works out to ~$466pp return (incl 20kg luggage each)! Almost worth it just for a long weekend!
I wish I had the flexibility take all these kinds of deals.

one of the best/cheapest deal seen. Just hoping that load factor is improving and the flight you buy is not canceled due to 'poor load factor'.
Cancellation of your flight is risky and highly likely and the consequence is your hotel reservation and your travel itinerary will be messed up….
Alternatively, you may want to consider buy this ticket with travel insurance (or use CitiGold card or some platinum credit card with International flight cancellation / inconvenience insurance) to get compensation - still not sure if it's worth taking a risk.
