Free Property Report Inc Last Sale Price from Bank of Queensland Using App

670

Free property reports are a dime a dozen but this one is actually pretty decent. Download the app, put in some details and its emailed to you a few minutes later using data from RPData. I checked my house and it has the value it sold for in 2009 which I haven't been able to find for free anywhere else.

I'm not sure if there is some free harassment included from the BOQ so be mindful of that when giving your contact details, the report seems to be emailed automatically.

  • I typed in a few addresses and suburbs, all in Qld, none of them was found on the app.

    • Try typing the house number and street name, then just sit there and wait for it to auto-complete the address, suburb and post code.
I just tried 4 addresses in WA and received all the reports via email within a few mins.

    • For WA those sites give you:

You must login (above) and pay the fee to be able to view the WA government advised sale record

      Or no info at all

      Or this weird site
      House.ksou.cn

      • I've checked this site out a few times now. But it almost looks like it either goes off of the asking price (like the place I just bought), or public input of pricing!

It worked for me in WA

My house is nearly worth what I paid for it.

  • I've used it a few time and after the first time I received a call from BoQ asking if I was interested in any products. Not the biggest deal in the world and I think its a fair enough trade off for them supplying the data for the app.

    • yeah same, now i provide fake details :")

  • Tried it on my own home. They think I don't have a garage! What's that big thing in front of my house in the picture then? Duh!

    • +11

      They think I don't have a garage!

It was probably built without a permit…

      • It's been there for over 50 years and appears on the Council Plans! Got a DA a few years ago and there was no question about the garage. Appears on all surveys too. There's even a driveway!

Anyway, I have asked RP Data/BoQ to update their information using the function within the app.

Use Commbank Property Guide & you don't have to wait for it to be mailed to you.

    • Its emailed within minutes.

      • Who has minutes to wait nowadays?

I want it, and I want it 5 minutes ago…

        • +1

          Steady on now Veruca dear!

      • +1

I've requested 9 times now (same property, still no email)

        • Same, 5 times.

The data should be there, newish (5 years) house already owned by 3 people.

  • No windows phone support :(?

Why do you sound so surprised?

      • Blackberry first, then WP…

        • Works on my Blackberry. Downloaded it through Snap.

  • Is this representative of the paid reports RPData provide, or are they holding back info?

    • Holding back. Very basic.

Blah. What about house.ksou.cn? It's free and the data on that tends to be more accurate than RPData (in VIC at least).

    • have added this to my list of bookmarks….thanks.

    • What do you think the go is with this site? I wonder where it pulls it's data from. Someone has obviously set it up for Chinese investors being cn domain?

    • Cool site, thanks.

    • Used it a fair bit when looking last year. But I've noticed a lot of the prices were actually just the original asking price, including the place I bought!

  • This is fascinating… been looking back at photos of my childhood home, places I've lived before… very cool.

  • you must only get submit report from smartphone first then download it via email

  • Looked up my place - Most recent sale value - 705k in Oct 2012 (inner east Sydney terrace) - current estimate 450-550k (with low confidence in their estimate).
I like that the app is free, but I'm not sure it is always so accurate.

    • There's a reason its listed as low confidence. They're not providing a free valuation service

      • Mine had recent sale value 330k, estimated range 350-440k, high confidence.

    • Bank valuation I found is a true story of property. Tested with few of our properties (include Sydney and Brisbane). It is quite accurate to my extend of understand in these sub suburbs market.

705K would be overvalue in true case then as we all understand Sydney still in BOOM easily premium (inner east) suburb would be over true market Value with low confidence in future growth,

      • The bank valuation I had done at the the time was 720k.

Not working for me. Says it's emailing reports, but I haven't received any. My email is definitely correct.

its doing the auto complete but after that nothing when i hit the search button…

  • I'm not getting any emails back, so no reports for me?!

  • +1

Did it last night and got the reports this morning. All I can say is crap crap crap. Even free it's still not worth it!
There's barely any details on the house I just sold, the house I just bought, my other place, and a few that I know the details of!

I can't remember what the site is, or the passwords, but I used to be able to access a site that gives you full details of the houses complete history (at least 15 years or so) inc pics etc!
I got it from my old boss, after he saw a real estate agent accessing it!
