Do you normally sell them at $199.

If not, then the title is deceptive and misleading

That is the retail price for these cases. I am clearing my stock and once sold out you will not find them at this price again.

Perhaps you should familiarise yourself with the ACCC advertising laws around misleading price comparisons

        http://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing/displaying-prices#mi…

If you a comparing your price to the RRP and you don't normally sell at that price it is deceptive and misleading advertising.

      • +1

Your normal price is $99, not $199

        please update the title

        • Thanks JV, you are perfectly right.

        • -3

Not my intention. Nothing misleading here as that is the price you will pay if you buy elsewhere.

        • Nothing misleading here

          ACCC disagrees with you…

Familiarise yourself with the advertising laws in Australia…

My pricing is transparent. If you would prefer me to raise my price and than have a fake sale to satisfy you than please go elsewhere. This is a clearance price and it is actually $200USD if you buy direct from Lucien Elements. They are not available elsewhere.

        • My pricing is transparent.

          You title isn't.

You have written it to mislead readers into thinking that they are saving $140, when it is only $40, since you normally sell this item at $99.

That is why they call it deceptive and misleading advertising.

If you read the ACCC advertising laws, they have a very similar example to yours as to how not to advertise.

        • This is a good point. I am just making a direct comparison as to what you would pay elsewhere. I may be wrong but we have interpreted this differently. I have not said that My price was $199 or $99 now $58.

        • I have not said that My price was $199 or $99 now $58.

No, but your title implies to the reader that they are saving $140, when it's only a $40 saving…

          Rep…

To say you are selling something for less than RRP would imply you have sold it at RRP.

If YOU have NOT sold this product at RRP you CANNOT compare your price to the RRP.

          Two-price comparison advertising

Businesses often make comparisons between product prices being
          charged and:

the company's previous pricing (including 'was/now' or 'strike >through' pricing or by specifying a particular dollar amount or >percentage saving)
          the 'cost' or wholesale price
          the competitor's price
          the recommended retail price (RRP).
Businesses that use such statements must ensure that consumers are not >misled about the savings that may be achieved.

Statements such as 'Was $150/Now $100' or '$150 Now $100' are likely >to be misleading if products have not been sold at the specified >'before' or 'strike through' prices in the period immediately before >the sale commences.

Swarovski Elements = trash. $58 for anything involving them = overpriced junk.

  • iphone4?
would be better idea upgrading to a better phone as a valentines gift.
pretty pointless throwing money onto something so outdated.

    • Iphone 4s won't be going anywhere any time soon, as Iphone5 is not suitable for regional areas. Even the telco's advise of that.

Having said that, this still way overpriced for a phone that has been superceded twice.

Yeah, right. I think you're trying to con the wrong group of people by claiming this here. While some here are obviously quite young, none of us was born yesterday.

      • Yes this sounds dodgy. If I could I would post the emails.

  • considerably cheaper from multiple eBay sellers: link
