I think you've been able to get the trials for $2 for ages, but not free?

      I don't actually know though.

  • +2

    It's been for ages. rofl

Its not a bargain, its a trial, its just there.

The $2 fee for the 14-day trial DVD was for the DVD itself; I bought it just so I can install without having to swap installation CDs! Then I found out that WoW installations are copy-pastable. Nom nom.

"Any software or website that is usually free is not a bargain."
"Free for now but later on not free."
WoW 10-day trials have been free for years, and will continue to remain free into the forseeable future, but is never perpetually free. Two breaches of posting rules; probably why it has never been posted before.

-ve from me… except Scotty deems me too immature (less than 1 month old) to vote on his site.

  • Nothing new.

Oh well.. I didnt know that it's not new.

Prolly a good thing no one knows about this. Dont wanna get addicted to WoW ;)

Dont wanna get addicted to WoW

One of the most destructive game of all time. Lucky I didn't get addicted to it but some friends are :(

  • U idiot, its always been free for 10 days

  • I didn't know about it.

  • This has always been there.

    Not a bargain.

  • All MMORPGs offer a free trial. This isn't a bargain, and a very very old offer at that (I did the free 10-day trial way back in 2005 or 2006 myself!).

always been free….this is like introducing someone to heroin

  • This game can be seriously addictive. Stay away! This is like drug dealers giving away crack!

  • just out of interest - how much does it cost AFTER the free trial?

    • From Cheap Games:

World of Warcraft Battle Chest (PC) $49.95 (includes Burning Crusade and one month of play)
World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King (PC) $46.95

      And after that first month:
World of Warcraft 2 Month Subscription Gamecard $36.95

I used to sleep only 5 hours a day just because of this game. Stay away from it.

But if you want to play online game, this is just the best.

Btw, the trial is always there since the day WOW came out.

  • +1

never played this game, and never want to.

From what i hear its impossible to not get addicted to it

in the end you will be paying a ton more for the coffee to let you stay up all night, and the higher broadband allowance etc.. I could go on but this really isnt something you want to do.

  • WoW sucks. Most of my friends are addicted and I refuse to join in.

  • Tried downloading it. After downloading 4.7Gb, one update pops up, then another, then another, then one more for 700Mb. Then I give up wasting my broadband and uninstall all of the files without playing 1 second of the game. To hell with it!
