Varta Ready2Use rechargeable 2AA+2AAA+USB charger for $5, clearance at Randwick Coles.

310

Since i'm at unsw everyday i went past coles Randwick again, and saw many new battery clearance specials, the best of which are:

Varta ready2use rechargeable pack - 2 of AA 2100mAh, 2 of AAA 800mAh, and twin battery USB charger for $5. about 40 packs on shelf. that's $1 per battery!
Varta 15min charger + two batteries - $10. i got the last one i could see, but they tend to bring out fresh stock.
Energiser mobile phone charger - 2 lithium AA batteries plus the charger module, only for motorola
a few other ones which i wasn't as interested in and thus forgot

if you see similar deals elsewhere, post it in the comments!

  • wow 2 AA's and 2 AAA's what a bargain!!

  • i've got to go and submit an assignment tomorrow so i might as well pick up a bargain while i'm at it - i'll have to find the coles first though, thanks

  • None at any Coles in the ACT for this price

    • I bought several from Queanbeyan Coles at that price a few weeks ago

      • I went to Queanbeyan Coles today and they only had one left and it was $4. Not sure if they will be putting any more out

  • Just picked up 32 of these at the Randwick Coles. Thanks for the heads up! Its not at all Coles. Just try your luck locally. I needed lots of batteries for a project, and this works out to be sensational..
If kimmik wants a free dance lesson at my studio in the Sydney CBD let me know.. :-)

    • holly molly! matey nice one. wish i had that much use for rechargeables =P

    • "just picked up 32 of these…"

damn wish i saw this post before i went this morning.

i'm guessing you cleaned them out

  • this is a great deal. thanks for sharing. I may check it out this weekend if they still any more left.

  • any ideas if avail in melbourne central coles?
    thanks

  • I saw this product in my local coles (Brisbane, Bellbowrie), and i seem to remember it being on special for an amazing price, or reduced to clear, but i didn't buy it for some reason, can't remember why.
Then last week i found this item on it's own in a location it shouldn't have been (1 left), and i thought that it must be reduced, so i took it to the checkout and asked how much, and it scanned for about $20. :(

Might check some other coles stores tomorrow.

There are no stock any more, just MOTO charger left……

    • haha damn did I see ya there?? was just about to post that too….none left at 8:30am.

  • i had 2 aa's + 15min charger for $8 at coles in university hill bundoora few days ago

  • Woolworths in Adelaide City on Rundle Mall has some rechargable batteries on sale as well. Some are not for digital cameras (still good for toys or remote controls), others (I reckon they are Duracell ones) can be used in digital cameras. Prices are ~$5 for 4 for the first and ~$7 for 2 for the second ones.

  • I saw some regular Varta batteries (not rechargeable) at clearance prices at Carlingford, NSW last night. Was looking for the rechargeables but they had none :-(

  • Saw some today in one Coles for clearance at around $20 (!) another had it for $10. Looks like pricing is at store managers discretion in order to clear them. I'm still hoping to find one at $5 in Melb (east).

  • $4 at Coles Marion SA.. I picked up 14 packs and there were another 14 remaining..
Dunno what I'm going to do with 14 USB Chargers, or 28 AAA batteries for that matter, but even for just the AA's its a bargain!

  • None at Coles World Square or Coles Broadway in Sydney :-(

  • Hey daydream, I saw them at Coles in Malvern (Glenferrie Rd) tonight @ $5, still had around 15 units left after I bought 2.
The 2AA + 15min charger was reduced to $20 though, so if anyone spots it for less in Melb please post.
