Definitely agree……from both what I've heard and also personally seen this store has some of the worst customer treatment definitely in Australia!
Many horror stories online but definite caveat emptor situation.
Yes, they list some cheap stuff from time to time but they're the MASTERS of getting you there and then saying,"No stock but how about you buy this…." And recommend to you some badly overpriced no brand junk.
I'm pretty sure you won't be sworn at, be served by a 'man' smoking a cigarette or drinking behind the counter at any other IT store in Australia - so think about it.

Hmmm, I wouldn't consider this the beginning of a price drop… Fluidtek's prices are like their namesake, changes every second day! I picked up my i7 920 from them over 6 months ago for $400 (but maybe that was because Eddie was screwing me by $50 on the PSU…)

intel i7 920 $299 when you buy 6gb 3x2gb 1600c8 gt ram at $249the ram is a bit expensive as they don't give you a brand name…
but the corsair of similar speeds are 229…so its fairly decent still..
all the other parts (gigabyte boards) seem pretty decent as wellmust have fallen of the back of a truck…
Can anyone confirm that it's the Corsair GTs you get with that i7 bundle?
If they are, then that's awesome.

Maybe parents opened computer place so they can make a profit, then got their son to make the page because they don't know much about computers themselves other than pulling shifties like whats described above.
Reminds me of the shifties that Office Depot in USA pulled which of course somebody busted them for it. Haha, they instructed staff to sell laptops to people who opted to buy "extra warranty" otherwise pretend that there was no stock, since they can shaft somebody else.
Seems like the same thing here, where they will pretend they have no stock unless you buy the oem no brand crap they "recommend" you, so they can make up for their loss in selling the item for you cheaper.
definitely negative from me, simply because I have been burned by ol bait'n'switch Eddie before. The worst part about this is that they even BROADCAST this fact by virtue of the fact that THEY DO NOT HAVE A PHONE. Yes you read that right, they don't have a phone line, so you can't even CALL AND CHECK the stock. You get there, and you get told what you can and cannot buy.
Went in , bought one - easiest purchase i have done and let me tell you he has tons in stock , over 20 people bought while i was in line . im glad im here in sydney holidays . my whole pc will be sourced in sydney . We get ripped in Qld

Yes, buying from him CAN be easy - I had that happen for about 5 yrs - saw others flamed out, never me until one day - c'est la vie eh. So just hope you don't get a problem and have to take back to him.
Just a lil advice on the off chance you do:
1) He knows everything & is never wrong
2) You know nothing & are always wrong
3) Anything thats gone wrong is almost certainly your faultIf you really have to just buy the cheap item and everything else for your build at another store - as you'll find most other prices are very ordinary & yum-cha brand IT crap is the order of the day.
I'll take IT Estate & MSY over them any day of the week.
