Porting Optus number to Telstra $30 starter

Hi there,

Just wondering if it's possible to port my Optus number to a $30 pre-paid starter kit from Telstra (bought for $10 at Coles).

That way I keep my number and get Encore for $10

You can do it, just need to arrange it by phone or 24/7 online chat.

    I'm guessing you didn't take a screenshot of that?
    
    Anybody who encounters a similar experience relating to porting should do so and then forward it to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, and to the ACCC.
    
    Even implying that you can't port in a circumstance like this - let alone actually lying about it - effectively constitutes a form of anti-competitive behaviour.
    Enough reports made would see it perceived as a pattern.
