  • reminds me I haven't brewed my last order yet!

Coopers really have to be one of the best Australia breweries, I think. They make some of the best Australian mass-produced beers, and their encouragement of home-brewing is great, too. They even encourage brewers to cultivate the yeast in the bottom of their ales to pitch into your own home-brew. Have you ever tried this?

      • I wholeheartedly agree.

My liver cried out in dispair when I learned they added the "Celebration Ale" to the permanent line up of brews they do

Still owned and ran by the Coopers family managing to hold off takeovers by larger companies so I give them as much financial support as I can.

well that's how I justify it at least :X

      • I've done this a couple of times now and managed to get a beer very close to the original pale ale this way.

there has been many aggressive takeover attempts over all these years and the Coopers have managed to hold them all off, truly remarkable.

best thing to do is a toucan. just grab any two types of coopers home brew goop and throw them in a fermenter with the yeast. no need to add anything else except water.

results will be magical. you might need to mop the top of the fermenter and ground around it because it ruptures a lot

    • I shall remember this good sir,

home brew would accompany my home made beef jerky operation quite well

    • No brewing sugar? With both yeasts?

      • sugars are only a replacement for much more expensive but better malt, so using 2 cans of malt means you dont need any sugar (unless you want to make a "stronger than normal" alcohol brew).

        only use one yeast :)

or google toucan or coopers toucan and check out one of the many homebrew forums

      • the extra stuff is the second can of goop, give it a go. be careful of it exploding through the airlock though…
