50% off Voucher for Feeney's Irish Cream or Creme Brûlée 700ml at BWS (approx $26 RRP)

600

I just saw this offer on Facebook - it doesn't appear to be required to redeem, just print the offer.

50% off Feeney's Irish Cream or Creme Brûlée. Max 2 bottles per person.

Unfortunately I don't know the original price to let you know how much it will be. BWS don't list their prices online (that I can see) and I don't have my car to go visit my nearest store. Dan Murphy's full price is about $20 usually - perhaps it will be similar?

Edit: thanks to those who found the price - it's around $26 rrp.

How would this compare to the Aldi O'Donnells Version that sells for $12.99 anyone tried both?

    • +1

The closest comparison to that is most likely O'Mara's Irish Country Cream (Dan Murphy link, couldn't find on woolworths website), which goes for $12.99 (off the top of my head) for 700ml at BWS.

Feeney's actually goes pretty well. We did a tasting of the Creme Brûlée and it was pretty much on the mark when compared to baileys, although obviously not the same flavour (I'm sure the regular one is pretty close).

      • Update: bought the standard flavour and got my mother (an avid Bailey's fan for a long time) to do a blind tasting. She picked baileys, but said herself they are very similar. I then told her the price and she was blown away! She said I should have stocked up while I could!

I tried it and have to say it tastes identical to bailey's in my opinion, quite nice.

  • Thanks for the post will be heading down to BWS tomorrow and let you know how i go

  • Is this at all like Father O'Bleary's?

  • I just bought a bottle of O'Donnell's from Aldi today. tastes just like Baileys.
    Haven't tried Feeney's before.

    • Maybe now is the time to try it when it's the same price as O'Donnell's :P

  • As the little doers say: Tell 'em the price son!

[Around] $26.00 per bottle normal price, so ~$13.00 per bottle with this coupon (can't remember, and I work there, how sad of me). I'm sure OP or mod will add that in later.

  • Do we need to print it, or can we just show it on our phone?

    • It doesn't say it has to be surrendered at time of purchase, so I suppose using your phone could work, but I'm not sure. I hadn't heard of this promotion until now. If someone came in with it on their phone, I would probably type it in and let you buy it, but it depends on who it is. I don't know anyone who would mind typing in the barcode, as long as it's legible on your phone.

Obviously they won't let you keep coming back and buying 2 each time ;)

    • I just showed it on my phone. The scanner didn't read it, so the guy just typed in the barcode. He was a cool dude though. Asked me where I found the deal, so I told him about OzBargain. +1 new user, where do I collect my referral commision?

Things to look at for comparison,
Is it made in Ireland or Oz and alcohol strength.
If made in Ireland it should be whiskey based and about 17% alc by vol.
Aussie produced ones are wine based.
    Hope that helps.

      They are "Product of Ireland"
      17% alcohol
      Irish whiskey used
DM price: $19.90 for Irish Cream and $21.99 for Creme Brulee

  • Thanks, OP.
Just bought one of each at 50% off.
The guy did not know about it, but happy to take my money.

im sure he's just an employee and doesn't care much either way.

  • Yep me too, accidentally grabbed a litre bottle and it didn't work! Then worked out its just for 700ml and all was good. First time the bloke had seen the promo, he thought it may have been a fake one, he said they get people trying all sorts of stuff on them with photoshopped promos. Thanks OP :)

    Bought 1 x 700ml Irish Cream Liqueer, $25 less 50% - $12.50. (Yes, 17% alcohol, compared to 14.5% for O'Donnell's 700ml which I paid $13 yest from Aldi).

Tempted to go for the Creme Brulee too - but I always thot Brulee was a solid dessert, not a creamy drink! Anyone tried this before?

  • It didn't work for me at my local. Their scanner would only take 50% off the first bottle, then charge me 100% on the second. I insisted 50% off both,,,, then the attendant rang her supervisor which said, "50% off your BOTTLE of Feeney's Irish Cream OR Creme Brûlée". She stated that you actually need a second coupon to get the second bottle for 50% off.

Huh? Just print another one, and walk right back in? They're not gonna stop you, or even recognise you! Or just go to another store.

    • You should email BWS. You might find they give you a free bottle for your troubles.

    • It did the same thing for me: gave a discount for only the first bottle, she scanned the voucher again and it gave the discount on the second bottle too. As others have said, seeing my voucher was the first they had heard of this offer. 2 bottles for $25, thanks OP!

  • Turns out the cashier has to scan the voucher twice if you want the discount on both bottles.
