Not sure what Microsoft are planning to do for the xbox one. I don't think there are enough games in that system to justify a 'good' freebie anyway.
Using this 360 only tactic helps generate residual sales of their old 360 stock and appease those people who bought it relatively recently and might have buyers regret.

I read this morning that it's the non descript coming in 2014. So my guess is in the last third of the year.
It probably be available at the end of this year or sometime next year. X1 is to new to give away free games.
I don't have either current gen console, but I do have both 360 and PS3 and the PSN subscription already has free PS4 games - but they are Indie titles, none of the release titles (of course).

Damn it – so I've been saving that 48 hour code for a good game for nothing…
On these subscription services you don't own the game you'll only licensing out access to it and once the subscription is over that's it no more access.

Yeah it's like pay TV you lose access to the content once the subscription is cancelled. To keep playing the game you'll need to renew the subscription which means more money.
That's not true. You keep them for as long as your 360 works. PS3 free games are rentals but 360 free games you keep forever since they are old games that few would buy.
The 48 hour and 14 day gold trials don't let you download the games though, you need at least a 1 month code.
And how would you be able to redownload the game if you accidentally remove it?.
Same way you redownload any other game. Sign in with the account that originally downloaded/bought it. It will either be on the marketplace or in your download history where you can select redownload.

Wow.. Honestly, I'd swap the last 7 months of the Games with Gold for just 1 month of any of the PSN titles.
By offering a service that does not require an ongoing subscription to play previously downloaded games.
Hardly an issue. Most people have Xbox Gold all year round so I doubt many people have taken advantage of the fact they don't need to be a member to play the games. I'd happily pay for a PSN membership all year round if it means the games I would have access to games that are insanely better.
How many of those PS+ games do you actually receive ownership of though? None.
PS+ and Xbox Games with Gold are 2 different services. One is a rental service where you get given a few games that you can play for as long as you subscribe every month, the other gives you games that are yours to keep forever, not just as long as you subscribe.
Also, if gaming is more than just a passing hobby you have most likely already played Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2, and Uncharted 3 6+ months ago, so now being able to play them again is irrelevant.
Most Xbox fanboys are subscribed all year round, every year, so it's hardly an advantage. So if I were on PSN, it wouldn't matter to me if it was a rental because I would be subscribed all the time.
For the trade off, you get a much better set of games. Have you even looked at the games Xbox have offered over the last few months before? There's no point responding to you if you were actually satisfied with them. Last month was by far the best, but before that, it was months of $5 arcade games that were several years old. PSN have been offering the very best games for their subscription.
I'd rather get new games I may not have (I actually have not played any of the above games you mentioned) than get games from the Xbox subscription I haven't even bothered downloading because they're that bad. And so what if you get a game you already have? If you have the physical copy, you can trade it in and make some money. As opposed to getting a set of terrible Xbox games you didn't even bother downloading.
I wasn't dissatisfied with them though, because they are literally just giving them to me for for nothing since I was already a Gold Member and have been for 8 years. I've downloaded every one of them, even the ones I already own on disc. If you want to complain that the free games aren't good enough for your liking then I guess that's up to you, but it doesn't reflect well on you.
PS+ offers you rentals of 6+ month old games, that you don't get to choose, and that you don't get to keep if/when you stop subscribing. If in 10 years time you want to play a game that you got with PS+, unless you're still subscribed you can't. You're basically locked in to a contract for $60+ a year.
And again - nearly EVERY game that gets added to PS+ I already own or borrowed off friends and completed. Yes they add "better" games than GwG, but because of that the chances of them being games you've already played is much higher. Out of all of the GwG games I've only owned about 4 of them previously because they're NOT high profile games. I've actually enjoyed playing these games that I never would've played before because I was too busy with big AAA games.
just bought a xbox 360 with 1 month gold live voucher, but not very sure about the how this 1 month calculate? is the natural month or valid until same day next month?
It's same day month to month…so don't use it yet, just wait til 01 March & get 31 days instead of 28! ;)
If you're gonna wait till march, then do it on the 2nd or 3rd, that way you will get 3 free games instead of 2.
