Went to Alexandria on Saturday morning shopping for a single bed mattress for our 2 1/2 year old daughter, who is gradualting from her cott. Our requirements
- Brand new for $100-$150, i.e. dirt cheap for a sprint mattress.
- Firm. We can't stand soft ones.
- Good warranty. We have strong suspicion that our daughter will treat it like a trampoline.
We came home with a nice firm mattress from Mattress World for $140 on cash. When we went there the salesman told us that it was the very last one left from their Christmas sales (yeah right). However we failed to find anything that is within our price range from other shops. The quality is actually better than more expensive ones from Forty Winks. So we still ended up rewarding the sneaky sales tactics. It came with 3 year warranty.
Here's a pic:
Yup. We carried it back home on top of our old Nissan Pulsar hatchback. We always keep a long nylon rope in the glove box, and it has proved to be very useful over the years.
lol Scotty, I hope your trip home did not include freeway driving, I can just see that thing taking off! hehe
