I am the author of this novel, and I thought this would be of interest to the large gamer community here on OzB.
"The King of Game Trivia" is the story of Al's journey through the The King of Game Trivia Tournament, a competition that tests competitors on their knowledge of all things video game via multiple choice questions. Perhaps not surprisingly, there are actual multiple choice questions throughout the book so you, dear reader, can join in on the fun.
It's filled with video game references both obvious and obscure, so if you consider yourself a gamer you should get a kick out of it. And hey, it's free until midnight January 29 U.S. time, so can you really say no?
I leave you with the first question that appears in the book. Shouldn't be too hard for you…
WHO CREATED 'TENNIS FOR TWO', CONSIDERED THE EARLIEST KNOWN ELECTRONIC GAME?
A: NOLAN BUSHNELL
B: WILLY HIGINBOTHAM
C: RALPH BAER
D: STEVE RUSSELL
Thanks! I barely read books but ever since I read "Ready Player One", I've been looking for more game themed books to read.
