Bravofly Insists on Passport Details for Domestic Flights

I was planning to use Bravofly for a domestic air booking - it seems they don't charge a fee for paying by credit card and they accept Paypal too.

The trouble is that to get to the web page to make payment, you must supply passport details for each passenger - even for domestic flights. As the passenger's passport is no longer current (and the expired one wasn't available) I just entered a dummy number but didn't have the nerve to complete the transaction.

Is there anyone who has encountered this issue who can offer some advice?

Thanks.

  • Hi Niggly,

Yeah i have had the same issue. I think they just have a default template requesting that information as they are based in the UK. You may get away with entering a dummy number as it is not required for domestic bookings. However, i suggest you call them and find out if that is okay to do.

I have used them before and they have always been good in regards to quick ticketing and good customer service.

    • Thanks. It's good to know you have been satisfied with them. It seems a lot of other people have formed a bad impression of them but this seems to be mostly based on hearsay.

  • was going to book with them a while ago, but before plugging in credit card details, looked up some reviews. they were less than glowing.

please post back and let us all know how they were - thye had some pretty decent savings on intl airfares so i would like to use them if they are reliable (above is the first good review I've seen….. but i guess the internet has become about whinging ;) )

    • yep, who feels the urge to vent their satisfaction these days?

    • Sorry, I did not make a booking because the flights were not needed after all. The unnecessary requirement to supply passport details imposed a delay which turned out to be blessing.

I'm afraid others will need to lead the way further with Bravofly.
