Cheapest Samsung Galaxy S4? Jan/Feb 2014

Looking for the cheapest Australian stock. Can't find anything under $599 and that's too expensive for a phone that's been around as long as it has. Checked all the major retailers and they were all over $650. Anyone found em new for a reasonable price and currently in stock? Also must be outright. Not interested in going on a contract. Thanks.

Im keen to buy one as well, dont mind grey HK stock…is Kogan the cheapest? Looking to buy s4 and note 3!

  • If you can wait just 2 months or so for the S5 (as CEO hints will anounce by April, so sometimes in March?)
Then maybe the S4 price will drop more?
or you might even like the new S5 specs/looks/features even though it will be much more expensive…

I'm after either one of these or an lg g2 as well, anyone with an awesome price on either

  • I have a slightly used one Galaxy S4 16GB Telstra Stock Unlocked (local 24 Months Warranty), Bought around 3 Months back but used just for 2~3 weeks as got a iPhone 5S. Willing to let it go for around $470 or Next Best Offer. As good as new with Box and accessories (accessories all unopened).

Freebies include a Samsung Genuine S-View Flip Cover, 3 X Screen Protectors and a 8GB Samsung Class 6 Micro SD Card. Pick up for Melbourne buyers or post for OS buyers.

  • these past few weeks the prices have been going up mainly because of the Australian Dollar… Seems like it is weakest at the moment, wait a while might go back to being around 90c US

    • Weakest at the moment? We haven't seen nothing yet!

It's been widely reported by the RBA and many respected financial analysts that a rate for the AUD/USD of 0.80 by years end is the goal

    • The RBA has been jawboning the dollar since last year. Don't expect the dollar to go any higher after Feb unless USA screws up big times afterwards.

And we also have Joe Hockey to worry about on whether he wants to plug the overseas shopping GST loophole. Expect something to happen during this year's budget in May.

Personally, if the S5 is coming out, I'd get that one. No more cheap plastic from Samsung. If you want the cheapest, Kogan is your best friend. Just lay quietly and strike at the next Kogan sale.

  • well the date for the new galaxy S5 have been released (feb 24)so hang in there for a price drop in the S4 or even shell out a little more for a new S5
