Importing kitchen knives to Australia

Is there any problem in getting kitchen knives past Australian customs?

    Nope, works fine as far as I'm aware, imported about $700 of knives last time. Did get held up a little bit whilst they asked for my item descriptions as it only said "knife", but was ok after I linked it to them. :)

    No Probs but customs may open your package.
    Got some cheap Wustoff from Macy's in their sales a few years back and Customs opened my package just to look see.
