Why? Understand that some folks fall on hard times but with all of the assistance available surely if you have to rely on Vinnies for such a product then perhaps you should not have a child.
You think people CHOOSE to get in a situation where this happens? You think a single mum who was dumped by the dad as soon as she got pregnant wants to be in that situation? You think the woman whose husband is beating her should stay just cos she doesnt have extra formula? You think the family that just got fired when tha plant closed down should make food by magic? You think the disabled guy who just found out he is a parent and the girl he slept with has been found incapable to care or just decided she couldnt cope might need a hand to start out? You think a family with 2 parents working part time in the only jobs they can find might need a hand when the unexpectedly large power bill hits one year?
Everyone who finds themselves in hard times should somehow put the child they love with all their being up for adoption, every woman who finds herself with an unplanned pregnancy should abort it cos you say so, no matter what she wants, stuff control over her body, stuff the kid knowing their culture - you said they shouldn't have kids.

I do not think you quite grasp where I was coming from and clearly you have some issues to deal with.
I get entirely where YOU are coming from, and yes - i have HUGE issues with privileged people who have never gone without making the sort of anti-charity sweeping moralistic judgements you just have, with no clue of how life really is for good people who didn't get the opportunities they have had.
Beyond that - who cares if they SHOULD have a kid in your mighty opinion - the fact is that they DO, and they need help, so who cares what you think SHOULD be. What matters is that the kid(s) doesnt suffer unnecessarily.

I am sorry but that has to be among the most horrible comments I have ever seen on any forum anywhere, I have no idea what to say to you, beyond trying to show you just how awful and misguided what you have said is.
I imagine you have lead a privileged life, as such I challenge you to live on the under18 independent rate of youth allowance (what abused children have to live on if they cant stay at home) for just a month, at least simulating paying full rent and power etc and see just how well you get by.It is a LOT worse for families, but you might at least get a clue that it isnt easy.
