  • "100% reliable" Myer

  • How about not making payments "recurring"?

  • Try $2.40 for an entire year.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/123254

This was still valid a couple weeks ago for me.

    • Still many difference in offerings though, for instance:

      LiteSpeed Web server
      We offer Phone support
Business hosting options (with dedicated mySQL)
      Dual stack with IPv4 & IPv6.

      • Is that worth the 600% premium over that offer?

        • Being able to call someone when you need help? Definitely worth it in my opinion.

      • I checked out the website to be sure the deal is worth negging.

Your nvStarter plan is actually $1.24/Month over two years or $14.85 a year. The plan has a third of the bandwidth and I don't think your extra features are worth 6 times the cost.

So maybe not the best deal on economy hosting at the moment.

You aren't comparing apples with apples, It's just like comparing a USA based host and wondering why the same doesn't apply here locally. If we reduced the features (Removed network redundancy, removed litespeed and offered no phone support) you would have a sub-par product which we definitely wouldn't be satisfied with.

Each to their own though :)

Actually, I'm hosted on 112.140.180.152, which looks to be in Australia to me.

        • +3

That's actually appears to be a redirection server.

          152.180.140.112.in-addr.arpa. 14399 IN PTR redirection.wholesalesystem.com.au.

        • Then I agree you're offering a different product.

Well done taking the time to defend your product!

        • Wow, negs aren't removable?

        • They should be

        • @Murdrum — your neg has been revoked. In the future you can click on "votes" near the top of page, and you should be able to revoke the vote yourself.

    • Thanks for the heads up! Still valid today with a sign up for hosting.

My experience with NV has been excellent. I moved from my $100+ per month managed VPS to a reseller account with NV for $300 for 2 years or there abouts to host my 20+ sites.

Support has been great when required, pre-installed stuff has been more than enough, and I just use a cheap offshore VPS for apps now.

    +1 would recommend.

    • Thanks for your feedback and support!

  • Hi do you host .NET 4.5 apps and MSSQL 2008+ ?

    • Unfortunately not at this time, it's something we're evaluating though!

  • Hi Rep, any deals on VPS ?
