I'm going overseas 7 - 17 Feb. I live way way out in the burbs (Berwick) and a taxi will cost over $160 each way. When i've done this before I found cheap deals for airport parking and just drove to/from the airport. Anybody know any good deals for Melb Airport Parking getting around at the moment?

You can park for free on the streets near Gladstone Park Shopping Centre and catch a 5 minute bus ride to airport.
Thanks for the feedback guys, not sure I want to risk the car at the side of the road or in a shopping centre for 2 weeks whilst I am in Canada. I was more thinking a discount deal at Andrews/United/Busy Beaver etc
OK Guys, I wasnt cool with parking in the road/shopping centre for 10 days whilst in the US. I searched around a bit, cheapest seemed to be the big open air carparks at the airport but I've had dramas there before waiting for the bus when I was in a hurry. Cost around $70 ish
Next I checked out the many offsite carparks, for the 10 days I was looking at about $100, there were plenty of choices with varioous add-ons. Under cover/inside seemed to be around $120 but you have the dreaded shuttle bus to/from.
In the end I found that if you book using the Melb Airport's online shop in advance they have a 75% off deal for the short term parking. I've parked there before on work trips and it is the most convenient by a long stretch (100m walk to the checkin!) but normally $110 a day. At that rate the parking would end up costing as much as the airline ticket! Booking in advance, the rate for 10 days was $150. Not the cheapest but easily the most convenient.
Thanks. Just saved $20 booking online for long-term carpark at Melb Airport.
last time I just organised a quote online to compare with the off-site parking companies around. Worked out cheaper then anything else on other. You just need to be able to narrow down within 2 hours of the time you are going to arrive and leave the carpark. Discounts are based on pre-booking it.
