  • not showing in my offers. could we have direct link please? thank you

  • got it- thanks

  • gift card purchases eligible?

    • I'm guessing so because they're probably looking for the fact that you spent money at the store and can't tell what you've bought. You can probably get a Coles myer gift card instead of a target one.

    • It doesn't say they are excluded. It should work

  • +11

Here is the direct link enroll.amexnetwork.com/AU/en/target/

  • it's not there

Thanks op. Very impressed by Amex lately. Service is excellent.

    • +9

Thanks to OzB I've received $310 in statement credits in 3 months. I'm pretty happy with Amex too :)

      • +3

From their POV they're happy you spent $1550+ on your card that you may not have done had it not been for the cashbacks.

        • +2

Oh believe me, while it certainly enticed me to spend at DJs, I was definitely going to spend at Dan Murphys, Liquorland, and Costco('s alcohol section)…

        • What did you buy at DJ's? I'm trying to spend an extra $106 but can't find anything worth buying. They never have catalogs or specials it seems, and their range isn't that good.

    • +2

Surprised by the number of positives for this deal. Last year it was $60 for $30 cash back or something like that. But yes Amex service is excellent. i complained last time about a shop not accepting amex for the small business promotion despite being on their website. Was given the bonus without question.

      • I came across one only to find an AMEX surcharge.

  • I've never tried before, but seen it mentioned. How does it work with supplimentary cards? Like mine just have different names on them for the others, but the same card number.

    • It only works if they have a different card #
But I thought sup cards did (mine does) & these deal work on both cards.

edit: you have to use the link below, you won't find it in Amex's website
    http://enroll.amexnetwork.com/AU/en/target/

  • thanks OP!

  • Can be activated directly from the Amex app as well.

    • Is that on ios? is it just the Amex AU app or is there a specific amexconnect one?

      • +1

The normal Amex AU banking app - click on the "offers" tab.

        • I had a look, doesn't support bank issued AMEX cards.

  • +1

Cool. Now what is there to buy?

    • +4

Coles Group / Myer gift card perhaps? Same as the Liquorland promo.

      • What liquorland promo? The one where you save the deal on your card? You can get a giftcard from there?

      • Does liquor land sell Coles myer gift cards?

        • yes

        • Does this mean we can buy $50 Coles Myer gift cards on this as well as at Target?

  • +3

They also have an in store promo that if you spend $50 on women's clothing or footwear they'll give you $10 off so you could stack with this deal

    • +7

SO the right way to do this is, buy $50 gift card <— get $10 credit.
Spend $50 at Target, get $10 off, use gift card, balance: $10 credit.

If you spend $50 at Target and get $10 off with the voucher, you won't get the Amex $10 credit.

      • -3

you can do it without having to buy the gift card, as you need to spend $50 or more in one or more transactions in order to be eligible for the $10 statement credit! so if you get your $50 worth of clothes for $40 one day, then a week later bought something else for $10, that should satisfy the criteria.

        • But who wants to go back a week later when you can do it in one go.

      • +4

just spend $60. you get $10 off. So the total amount charged is $50. get amex $10 credit.

so you only pay $40 for $60 worth of purchase.

        • hey mate - is there any other offer going on where it is $10 off when you spend $60?
          i cudnnt find it anywhere?

        • Usually there are printed copies of the offer in the stores.

  • Thanks OP, got all my AMEX cards registered.

  • Does it work with Davidjones AMEX card?

    • Yes - just done mine with Target and Liquorland offers

  • +2

Just got to be the 100th person to vote +ve. Yippee!

    • good job

    • omg well done

  • Thanks OP. Great deal!

  • Thanks for sharing OP.

  • excellent coles myer gift card here i come!

    • Does this work for CM gift cards?

      • has worked for me before.

  • thanks!

  • +5

Bring back shopsmall promo! Run it every month and I will be so happy.

  • thanks OP.

  • Great find! Thanks OP!

  • Excellent deal. Thanks OP!

    20%gift card deal

    • If I understand correctly, I can only buy 1 gift card for $60 and get back $10, right? Was looking to buy a macbook from myer and wanted to get some discounted gift cards going. Any ideas?

      • $50, not $60.

      • I thought you could buy as many as you want, in separate $50 transactions?
edit: nevermind looks like only one from reading it carefully. "The Offer is limited to one statement credit for each Registered Card."

    • It's $10 off a $50 purchase. NOT 20% off.

      • Yeah, 20% off at best - don't see what the big buzz is about this offer!

        • err 20% off anything at target?
thats pretty good particularly if you purchase something already on sale.

        • +1

I think some people are confusing themselves and thinking this is a "20% off your total transaction" when in fact it's just $10 off $50 spend (which is also 20% off but there's a subtle difference).

I got confused initially as well and was gonna get $2500 worth of Coles/Myer gift cards for $1600 and buy a MBP until I read the T&Cs more carefully =(

        • These kind of offers have been around for a while.

  • what gift cards can we buy?

  • can you get petrol gift cards in target?

    • i'm quite sure they don't sell coles express cards at target. best way would be to buy coles myer card, then go to coles and buy the coles express card

      • Coles myer cards can be used at Coles express

    • +1

You can use coles myer gift card to fill up at coles express

      • +1

apparently not according to the coles express faq: http://www.colesexpress.com.au/about-us/faq.aspx

        Q. Can I use my Coles Group & Myer Gift Cards at Coles Express?
        A. Unfortunately at this time Coles Group & Myer gift cards cannot be redeemed at Coles Express sites.

        • Conflicting information on their websites, this is what I found;

At Coles Express, you can pay for your purchases using:

          Cash
Coles Group & Myer Gift Cards
          EFTPOS
          Coles MasterCard®
          Visa
          MasterCard
          Diners Card
          American Express
          Motor Pass
          Motor Charge
          Fleet Card
          Shell Card
          Coles Express Gift Vouchers
          Basics Card
          WA Pensioners Fuel Card

looks like it's just best to go in-store and check out the back of the cards carefully.

ultimately, you'll be able to use this deal for coles express :)

        • It worked for me. I asked the attendant and he said yes, and it accepted my payment.

      • and use your 4c coles fuel voucher as well!

        • you can't get fuel vouchers solely from gift card purchases. i've tried in the past. shakes fist

        • +1

Well if you could, then you can get a free voucher any time by buying a $30 gift card. And when you need another one, you use your gift card to buy another gift card, and you can get infinite fuel vouchers.

      • +1

there are 2 different CM gift cards. One of them has the coles express logo on the card.

  • Are we talking about a $10 for once only here?

    D. Maximum Participation & Limits
Participation is limited to the first 10,000 cards to be registered. The Offer is limited to one statement credit for each Registered Card.

    • Yes. One $10 credit per unique Amex card number that is registered.

  • Thanks :)

  • I love it and will buy a $50 gift card.

  • Oh no, I am coming back from overseas on 1/Mar, miss out by only one day!

    • Damned touch screen, neg by accident and now I can't pos vote this deal.

  • Sounds like a TARGETed offer.

  • Does anyone know a bank that issues AMEX DEBIT credit cards?

    • The major banks don't. Don't know about the little banks, but I wouldn't think so.

  • can you buy a target gift card online now and then go into the store to buy a coles Express gift card?

    • anyone can confirm Target sells Coles Express gift card? or Coles/Myer gift card? Thanks

I never pay attention on what gift card is sold

  • I'm new to these deals, but it sounds like its one $10 credit for offers $50 and over, so not like if you spend $100, you wont get $20 worth of credit. Would need to be separate transactions. Correct?

    • +1

You will only get $10 credit back once, per card.

    • +1

yes and each card only get $10 credit back once

    • +1

Correct. It's only 1 $10 credit regardless of how much you spend over $50 and it's limited to 1 per card. So even if you do more than 1 transactions, you only get $10 back for your 1st transaction.

    • Once per unique card number.

  • -1

will $49 purchase be eligible? any item for $1 that just to make to $50 ?

    • Lollies usually.

    • +1

just buy gift card, mate. do whatever you want later
