Where do you buy your kids school stationery from ?

Do you just go with the school assigned store or do you shop around ?

  • Kmart or Officeworks for stationery, more expensive textbooks from 2nd hand sources like Gumtree.

  • +1

I buy some through the school and shop around for the rest.

I buy glue sticks at The Reject Shop. 3 large glue sticks for $1.50 is the best I have seen.

For the rest of the stuff I use Big W, Coles, Woolworths and Target.

  • Officeworks & Big W for stationery. Bulk buy textbooks with other parents from textbooksoz.com.au

  • Just bought all of the kids textbooks last night, had to use 5 different shops to get the best deals.

Probably best deals were at Bookworld. Their prices were Ok to begin with but you received an extra 10% off if you sign up for their SPAM emails (easy to quit in a month's time). I looked on the net and found a code at Retailmenot.com that had an extra 10% off code which stacked (so 20% off all-up) and they offer free Aust Wide shipping as well.

    Others I used were:

Wiley had a 20% off deal using the code 'Jac20' for any 'Jacaranda' Textbooks. My boys had 1 each in their respective booklists.

Boomerang Books had some good prices and if you look around there is a code for free shipping going around as well, saves $6.95.

Boodepository was great pricing with free shipping but they only had 1 of the kids books in stock.

Booktopia wasn't competitive for the books I had to get, regardless of free shipping etc.
