Was just wondering if any of you have any recommendation for online brokers (probably mostly for NYSE). I'll probably be a casual trader… so low fees would be best. Is there much paperwork to get everything set-up?

haven't researched CFD's fully but it looks like high risk (similar to forex?) to me. Maybe an option in the future. I opened a MyWealth account last year and bought a few blue chip companies.

I've used OptionXpress Australia for years.
You can try Comsec International but my experience with them has been very poor. And they're very expensive. For ASX Comsec is fine but their international service is different.
If you're trading why not just use CFD's?
