The Australian Standard Typing Test and Certificate - AS2708-2001

I must complete this test and pass over a paltry 25WPM to join the NSW Police force.
I inquired at TAFE and they want $100 from me just to sit this short test.
I found this company called Challlenge Recruitment which offers the test for $55 which is much cheaper but I would have to go into the Sydney CBD to sit it.

There are online typing tests for less than $10 but they are not valid because the test must be conducted in physical exam conditions with a supervisor present, according to Aust standards.
I can easily type over 70+ WPM as I am a professional scribe, but they still require this silly certificate. Perhaps my employer can convince the recruiters that I am technically proficient in keyboard/typing skills so I won't need to do this. Anyone have experience with this?
Perhaps I can use it as a tax deduction for my current job, because I also need to pay for a first aid certificate, aquatic certificate, medical test, and heaps of other things… just for my application to be considered and my suitability as a copper. At the end of the day, I will be sure to put all of them with resume because they look good to any prospective employer, regardless of whether I get into the Force or not.

Does the typing certificate have a valid use-by or expiration date? Other certificates I require such as first-aid only last for 3 years !
