Could someone suggest me some monitors (brand new) i can use to watch tv on my computer- my requirements is it has to be at least 20 inches - the bigger the better. My budget is $300 and location needs to be in sydney.. i would prefer a monitor from MSY , but im open to other suggestions..

Also should i buy a monitor now or should i wait until a sale comes around .. ( would anyone have any idea when sales usually happen) Thanks

  • It's interesting as someone has already posted a similar forum topic. For the purposes of purely TV, I would recommend the Samsung especially for that price. If, however, you are doing crazy gaming requiring high response time, then I wouldn't recommend.

  • This is just a comment about a something that you may not have even thought about, but may wish to consider.

With the exception of the still relatively few programs that make full and specific use of widescreen, because of how much better key central elements look when viewed in 4:3 aspect as opposed to 16:9, I went out of my way too seek out several monitors for the house that could be easily switched to 4:3 to correspond with a matching setting (needed) on the various attached devices that I use.

At the time - and maybe still the case - most BenQ and Asus models still had the option, and some LG's did too. Other brands, not so much.

  • Was just at officeworks,

  • MEDION 39" Full HD Direct LED-LCD TV $250

    • This looks quite good! Even save $50 from the budget!

      • Did you try this TV? How was it?
