  What makes this a great handset? I can't find any reviews for it.

    Sorry I thought when you said it was a great handset that you had some personal experience with it.

    A lot of handsets have great specs but often user experiences are often reported as anything but.

    The specs do indeed look good for the price.

    I have one of these, and although I never use it(the bluetooth option), I think it is the other way round - you connect the mobile to the base and then use the fixed handsets to make / answer calls using your mobile service.

  The website was displaying 5 years warranty. I called in and it is not valid. Warranty is only one year.

    Apparently it was a limited time promotion by Vtech that ended last year.

      That's why i went to OW with this deal. Id rather warranty with them. Less headaches in my experience plus a better price.

        Same here. Officeworks is pretty good when it comes to warranty stuff. Plus it's only a 10 minute drive from me.

  I bought the CLS12253 TELSTRA 12250 QUAD DECT CORDLESS PHONE pack yesterday from The Good Guys, price beating GadgetCity and paid just $88. The install is quite easy once you understand the GUI and the four room setup is working fine. I like the grey on white presentation of the handsets/ base stations and much prefer it to the sombre black on many of the Telstra products. Sound quality isn't world beating but at just $22 a station including an answering machine I have no complaints…. I don't live on the phone!
