  • Try Amazon.com and see what toys are popular then try and source the toy locally. Can't go wrong with cars, rockets, and balls. ;)

    • cars, rockets,

Not sure about the 1 year old — might be good idea but need to look out for sharpe edges. Otherwise anything with 4 wheels (or more!) and can go vrooom vrooom will do :) Picked up 2 construction trucks from Kmart's clearance bin last time for around $4 each (~30cm long + pretty big wheels + some accessories) and they proved to be pretty popular amongst friends' boys when we gave that to them.

      and balls.

Yeah that will work. No sharp edge to worry about either.

  • What is your budget?. My 7 year boy wanted DSi this birthday (He got DSLite but still wanted to get DSi). We got cycle from toyr'us last year (150$) which he was very happy about.

  • First my mistake Its is for a seven year old boy. I didnt read before posting.

Thanks mawinmawin will look into that. As for budget I dont want to spend more than $50 I think.

Anyone else pls cos I have to buy it before Sat

    thanks

    • Thats very short. What is his interest?. You can easily get Truck/car or Puzzle toys or tennis bat/ball. Do look for toysRus or kmart/bigw kids section.

OP: What did you get ? :-)

  • dsi lol

  • Get him a Nerf gun! Then get yourself a bigger Nerf gun!

There is a Nerf Dart Tag set that I recently got for myself and some mates (yep, nearing the big 3-0 and still playing with toys!)

The set is $70rrp, but you might be able to get it cheaper if there's a special. The Dart Tag set gets you two 10 shot Nerf guns, 20 foam bullets, 2 vests (for the suction darts to stick on to) and 2 pairs of visors (for eye safety I guess).
