Steam: 80% off E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy; $2 US

100

This is the cheapest I have seen the game retailing for. The reviews are mixed but it seems to have elements of Deux Ex and Warhammer 40K.

"As a member of the strange secret society E.Y.E, you wake up after a fight in which your fellow teammates were killed. E.Y.E, an armed branch of the Secreta Secretorum is attempting a coup against the all-powerful Federation, a coalition of several worlds and planets that rule with an iron fist.
To complicate matters, E.Y.E itself is plagued with its own internal conflicts between the Jian faction and the Culter faction, to which you belong. Your loyalties are torn between Commander Rimanah, your superior and the chief of the Secreta who is a separatist with an unstoppable ambition, and the "Mentor" your friend and instructor. The "Mentor" tries at all costs to unite the two rival factions. In doing so, you are thrust into the middle of a fratricidal war frought with political conspiracies and quests for power in which different groups and megacorporations are implicated.
These troubles set the stage for an attack by an unknown force bent on destroying humankind. "

It has been this price before (this is it's lowest). Bought in the last steam sales and been playing it for a couple of hours now. I have seriously no idea what to do. It seems to have a near vertical learning curve; I can shoot, swing a sword and by blind luck I managed to hack open a door. The first town(?) I got to I accidentally used some super power (idk know what or how) and now everytime I respawn they're all angry at me ie they kill me :(

Hopefully I'll figure it out because it looks like it has potential.

  • Grabbed a 4 pack - looks like fun for local co-op. Trying to set up a home gaming lan (the machines, not the network) since its so hard for me to get out. Somthing fun when friends come to me.

    Thank you

  • Yeah I bought this game a while ago (can't remember when) plus a couple of copies for my elder kids. Mine remains uninstalled - theirs are still in my gift inventory amongst 10 pages of similarly "purchased on a whim" titles. :)
