I am rather computer illiterate and have just changed from MacBook to a Windows 8 computer.
With regard to the email program options (I am really disliking windows 8 mail) is there any alternatives (aside from paying $100+ for Outlook) as I run several email accounts.
Any help would be appreciated :)
Opera Mail is pretty good. The interface is well designed, and it's also very easy to set up.

I just use GMAIL, (google email) Its free, It also checks three other emails from older accounts, I can choose to REPLY with the GMAIL account or from the account that received the email
Its also syncs my calendar with my android devices.
Being a web based email I can check it any where in the world, which saves the Hassle of taking my laptop overseas with me, I just find an internet café.

I have gone with the Windows Live Mail as I have used that in the past, now to wait for the 23,000 emails to download.

Most people just use web mail in a browser these days, the web based services are very good.
