Hype DC have cheaper prices, more range, more store fronts and free shipping. And they're considered expensive.
Definitely cheaper places to get Vans.
Hi Spazmo,
We offer the most sought out and popular styles at 20% off.
Generally other retailers only offer discounts on the one off styles or designs.

Whilst it can sometimes be harder to get discounts on the more classic styles (like Authentic black/white), it's still possible, and there is a vast range of equally desirable colours available for much cheaper.
Asos also have a wide range of Vans for ~$50-$60, shipped free. And they have a 10% off sale items at the moment (AUJAN10).
If you absolutely must get those colours now, then it's not a terrible option. But, generally, if something is legitimately a deal, a salesperson doesn't have to try and convince experienced buyers of the fact.
Kids and youth sizes are really limited for some of the vans that you have. Pity.
I'd consider grabbing some toddler shoes if the price was a "little" better! The Mrs has picked up some Converse and Nike for $20 and under in the past!
If anyone's in the Fountain Gate (S/E Melb) neighbourhood, I was up there on Tuesday. There's about half a dozen stores selling Vans for between $59-$99. But Platypus Shoes had an enormous range with at least 1/3 of them on special for $49!
So it comes to $72 for adult sized Vans. Then there's shipping.
Generally not a price ozbargainers would be willing to pay.
