  • normally lunch $85/person and dinner $99/person

Not a fair comparison. Buffet does not include lobster.

    • +1

      Which buffet does include lobster??

      • The buffet at Berowra Waters used to. Don't know about now.

    • colleagues just had christmas lunch there and they said there was no lobster.
i believe it's only available at dinner.

  • compared with Garden Buffet, which is better?

    • +1

i don't believe garden buffet is comparable with feast restaurant. anyway, many family members, friends and colleagues gave good reviews on this sheraton's restaurant.

      • +1

        Lol… I Agree…

This is on an entirely different level to the Star buffet!

My fav in Sydney is the Intercon buffet… Haven't had specials in a while though :(

        • +1

Ah the Intercontinental (Café Opera)… About 13 years ago they
used to have a deal which was "see a movie in any cinema, show the ticket stub, and
you get the seafood buffet for $13". What we used to do was buy the
movie ticket, show it and get the cheap meal, then return the
unused (unripped) ticket to the cinema for a refund. Those were the days!

        • Cafe Opera is pretty great, though I still reckon Feast does the best seafood buffet in the city. Whole different level to Garden Buffet, though granted they are significantly cheaper. Also should note SPG members (free to join) get 15% off, so dinner is more like $85pp usually.

        • +1

And the reason it stopped lol

        • Surprisingly, 13 years ago is now in the 2000s. Getting old :(

  • for anyone who has been, what seafood is on the menu? guessing prawns, oysters, crab ? any smoked salmon ?

    • Website says it does. Should have smoked salmon.

      • yes all those are there from memory but the stand out for me was the actually the sushi - lot of types and delicious

    • +1

Cold - Prawns, smoked salmon, mussels, squid, oysters and usually either bugs or lobster or crab as well.

Hot - whole fish, usually another fish fillet dish and often oysters kilpatrick or mornay.

Dont forget carvery and dessert bar as well!

    • +1

Here's a blog post with lots of pictures. Hopefully they are still serving the alaskan king crabs.

  • Thanks, booked for this Saturday night. Hope it's good!

EDIT: Was anyone able to find out when booking whether the drink is served at the restaurant, or can we arrive half an hour early or so and spend some time at the bar?

  • +2

just called and booked. Also confirmed you can have the drink at the bar or your table.
Fri and sat night only has 8:30pm session available

  • Nice deal. A similar one for Brisbane would be nice too!

  • Booked for next Wednesday! Thanks OP

    • Remember not to put anything in your mouth after Monday night. Good luck. I can supply a spew bucket free of charge if you need one.

  • More interesting question is for people that drive around there after work.
Any recommended parking around the area that does not cost an arm and a leg and 3 fingers?

  • This is an awesome deal. Even Star Privledge members don't get the free cocktail. Well worth the money!!
How many people can accompany you?

  • Big thank you to OP. I've been looking for this kind of deals for ages.

  • Can we bring more people with just one FB/email offered?

  • Does anyone know if there's any difference between the lunch and dinner buffet?

    • The lunch buffet is the same as the dinner buffet

      • Mostly the same. Usually more seafood selection on friday/sat evenings though than you'll ever find at the lunch buffet

  • is it just me or does the normal price of $99 pp seem quite dear? For a $200 spend (even without any discount) on a dinner date for me and the mrs I would be expecting a full meal, drinks, plus excellent service. I wouldn't be expecting to have to serve myself - even if it is all you can eat..

    • i think you are missing the point of buffets..

      • +1

nah, im not. the query is whether people here think the normal price of $99 is worth it.

        • +1

It is if you eat enough :P

  • This post makes me hungry

  • Thanks OP,

Booked out for dinners (ozbargained??) on the weekend so had to settle for lunch.

  • I have eaten the buffet there a couple of times for lunch and dinner, and it's always surprised me. Went a few wks ago and there was (in addition to the normal menu), laksa! I know it's not that special but it does surprise me when they have laksa made to order (realistically they just cook the noodles, put some things in and pour the laksa soup on top).

  • Thanks OP. Do we have to print out the email or could we just show it on our smartphones?

    • yes, it said to show the email. so need to print it out.

      • Ok thanks

  • Looks like this can be marked as expired. I tried to book for two people and sadly got this response:

    Dear Yarkin

Thank you for choosing Feast, the all new dining experience at Sheraton on the Park, Sydney.
Unfortunately we are now fully booked for the period of the Facebook Promotion Offer.
Would you like to dine with us on another date?

    Thank you and warm regards,

    • I called 10 mins ago and was able to book for lunch and was told just to mention the deal and no need to print out deal

      • You mean they don't even need to see the email on your smart device? Nice

      • Lucky you! I guess I should have called.

  • I sawv this today and went tonight. Feeling sick after eating half a dozen lobsters. Overall very happy. I don't think it's worth $100 but for $50 with a glass of wine it was great.
    Thanks Ozb

    • They serve lobsters?

      • Yes

        • they're bugs not lobsters. I went last night as well.
(well, technically bugs are a type of lobster)

        • -1

Yup you're right. It looked lobsterish but tasted like a lobster. As you said it's some sort of bug. The place was packed!! Lots of cheaparses (like me)by the looks of it. I saw a women pile on 15 or so bugs on her plate!!!

  • +1

Oh shoot…it says "no longer available" in their description :( Sorry darling, Maccas it is!

  • it's been ozbargained (lunch and dinner) until 20th!

  • -2

So it not the lobsters version…. How is that the "Full seafood". Last year I got the Bugs version is $60 but only so so…..

And as other say they all booked out now. Don't they count how many voucher they give out?? Just bogis advertising IMO.

    • +3

      huh?

    • I see. No lobster. But I guess there are still a wide range of other seafood including bugs, fresh oysters, smoked salmon, mussels, home-made sushi etc. $50 for these plus a cocktail sounds pretty good to me. A cocktail itself is $19. This promotional price is a bargain

  • I've never tried a bug before, is it not as good tasting as a lobster?

  • The bug is a type of lobster and tastes like one

  • +1

Went tonight with my partner. The seafood is very fresh - the bugs, prawns, oysters and swimmer crabs were among the best I've eaten (such as at Cafe Opera at the Intercontinental Sydney). The seafood was constantly replenished. There is a good range of other mains and deserts.

We booked for 6pm and it wasn't jam packed and the numbers reduced around 8pm.

    Definitely worth $50 per person.

Note the cocktails are limited to two varieties.

  • Hey fellow Ozbargainites!

I've actually got a booking for 3 this Friday night (17th Jan) at 6pm-8pm that I'm giving away (as I can't attend it anymore). If anyone is definitely up for this, PM me and I'll give you all the details!
