AVOID BETEZY - THEY ARE LIARS

Recently I took up an online offer to start up a $50 account with Betezy and to get $100 in free bets. Before taking this up I wanted to understand how it all worked. I had heard of a requirement to requirement to turn over the qualifying deposit (the $50) three times before a withdrawal can be granted. I asked them if the $100 of free bets was included in this and the response was that this was not the case and that I got to keep any amount that I made from those free bets. I asked them in about three different ways. I said to them, "Do I get to keep the winnings from the $100 of free bets" and they answered Yes. I then said to them, "So do I need to make a total of $150 of bets", and they said "yes". I can't remember how many other ways I asked them but it was very clear from the phone conversation that if I lose my $50, I would still keep any proceeds from the $100 free bets.

Now that I have tried to make a withdrawal I have found out that this is a lie. The winnings from the free bets goes into my 'main' account, and I still have to turn it over three times. I've used up all my free bets and also bet a total of $74.50. So I've bet about $174.50. Yet I've been told that I still need to make another $74 worth of bets. Do you think I'll have anything left at the end. No way.

Go ahead and use their service if you like, but don't believe anything they tell you.

It shows how sad this world has become when you can't even trust a bookie..

  • So is the formula: turn over the qualifying deposit of $50 three times + $100 in free bets = $250 you need to make in bets?

  • It appears to be the case. To be more specific, you have to turn over the $50 three times but the free bets you make don't count towards that. Any proceeds you make from the free bets go into your main account but as you can see to make $150 worth of bets you need to use up the free bets then make $150 worth of bets, so the total is $250.

Sounds like it should be easy to make $50 but:

    1. I'm notoriously unlucky - I don't understand that as I'm a rational type and don't believe in 'luck' but it is hard to disagree with the facts - everybody I know agrees!
    2. All bets have to be odds of $2 or more.
    3. What happens is that you spend the $150 then end up with roughly $70-$80 (maybe $100 if you make conservative bets and are relatively lucky - I made ultra-conservative bets and still ended up with only $80). Then you have to bet the whole $80 again (as you haven't got near the $250 required). Then you're lucky to end up with $50. Then you still have to bet more. So it sounds like they are giving you $100 of free bets and that you can't lose but it is actually quite difficult to end up with any more than the initial outlay.

Known in the industry as Bet Sleazy.

    Avoid them.

  • I saw this offer on their promo link. Is this same as the one you talk about?

brownbag do you mean this offer link?

    http://www.betezy.com.au/Promo/betezy/bestodds-offer.html?to…

I'm almost about to join them

    • Mine was done via Scoopon, Living Social or one of those mobs.

  • Uhmm.. that's pretty standard in the industry.

    • Only get to keep winnings from free bet.
    • Turonver initial deposit and winnings either 1x, 2x or 3x.
    • On minimum odds (either 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.8 or 2)

Only few bookies I know (betfair comes to mind) allow you to keep the initial free bet and have easy turnover requirements.

As far as I remember BetEzy had one of the hardest ones (especially the odds of 2) and is a reason I didn't sign up with them.

    • but you don't really get to 'keep' winnings from free bets. They need to be turned over too. BTW - their website is average and their mobile app is useless. so if I was looking for a gaming company to use, they wouldn't be the choice just for this.

  • I find it sad that if I suggested that this post be removed, or that the names of gambling sites be censored, that I'd just be pointed to the law which makes it fine. How gambling became mainstream is phenomenal, how my memories of TAB when I was young was the single old men in that dim room, not a young person in sight, how the cheery locals that used to ask me for a dollar would spend the day in the TAB. I'm a young adult and none of my friends gamble. Fortunately. and if they did it would be secretly. I think it's only the last few years the stigma towards gambling has lifted. And today I see it in the ozbargain forums. 10 years ago it would've been out of place.

    • the funny thing is that although I posted this, I'm not a gambler. I never buy tatts tickets and don't generally bet on sports, but I took this on only due to the free bets that seemed to make it a good opportunity. Even then, when I did this, other than a few bets on Melbourne cup day, I bet on very conservative bets just to try to make my money back. I'm not the slightest bit interested in gambling anything over my requirement, i.e., I'd never put any more than $50 in.
And I put the post in!
