20

Looking for a decent slow juicer with good warranty and this price from DJ's seemed pretty good for the latest Hurom juicer model. Free standard shipping from DJ's for orders over $50.

  • Patented juice outlet cap & pulp outlet plug
  • Larger capacity juice bowl and parts
  • Ultem strainer for fine and coarse juicing
  • Dimensions: 16.7 x 23.7 x 39.8 cm
  • BPA free
  • Weight: 6.1kg
  • 150 W
  • 5 year warranty on parts
  • Lifetime warranty on motor

Looks like the HH Elite but the product specs are different… Anyone can enlighten me on whether they are the same or different? http://hurom.com.au/content/products.php

This is the HH-DBI06 - the premium model of this latest juicer. It has the 2 screens but has a slightly different finish on the motor casing. The HF (HU600) and HH (HU700) models are virtually identical with the key difference being the finish only. All other specs are the same. • Got one last year and love this Juicer, not sure about this price though..

    • How much did you get it last year? I was looking at the Hurom 500 too and the cheapest I could find was $375

      • Got friend to buy it from Korea where Hurom is from/made.. was around ~$300 at the department store in Seoul at that time. I think ebay has this for $375?

  • Bought a slow juicer from ecosway for $250 6 months ago…

    http://www.ecosway.com/usstore/us/ProductDetails_us.jsp?prod…

Was initially a bit hesitant as it was from ecosway, but haven't had any issues…

  • costco sells coway brand for less than $400, and according to coway's website, it's a 50rpm juicer. the HH model has 45rpm which is slightly better, not sure about this one in dj thou as it does have the specs. generally speaking, the slower the rpm, the better for a slow speed juicer.

  • What's the special thing about this one ? the most important feature of a juicer for me would be "easy to clean" or "Auto-clean button"

    • I've used both slow juicers and centrifugal juicers and the big difference is appearance.
The slow juicer product is generally the same colour as the fruit/ vegetable you put in where as centrifugal juicers seem to come out cloudy and not as vibrant.

Maybe just have a look at this video and fast forward to the end to see what I mean.

    • yeah.. i had similar thoughts before i bought. now never going back.

    • Cleaning is easy with slow juicers.

But it also produces drier pulp, so more juice.

    • I have the Vitamax and a friend have Hurom 500. Both are good juicer, but the Vitamax is easier to clean (according to my friend when they came over). I can tell you, mine is very easy to clean and fast, but i dont know about the Hurom.

  • I think that's their normal price, except for the gift card.

I got them to price match Myer who didn't even have it in stock, for $409. DJ also had an AMEX promo at the time though I wasn't aware of it. This was a few months back.

    • When did Myer have it for $409? I can only see it for $499 at the moment. Not sure if I should spend $375 for the HU500 or pay an extra $55 for the HU700?

      • They had a $15 off every $75 on home appliances two day sale. I showed DJ the brochure along with the $499 price online on my phone and they said no problem.

        • Damn, maybe I should wait then. You reckon there is any major beneficial difference between a Hurom 500 to a 700?

        • +1

Bigger juice bowl (500ml vs 300ml) and supposedly a pulp control lever, though I couldn't find it. I don't remember if the 500ml had markings on the juice bowl or not.

The price isn't that much different.

Myer does their $15 off $75 quite often actually.

Had I known about the AMEX cashback I would have got $50 back, bringing it down to $359.

  • I bought a Hurom about 1.5 years ago and it has been excellent. I've heard some bad reports about the quality of certain other brands who have mimicked their design.

I bought mine from Hurom's ebay store for about $350, which came with official warranty, etc.

For those who have only used centrifugal juicers, the quality from a slow-press is vastly superior.

  • I've checked out a serveral different cold press juicers in retail stores to check out build quality. i was surprised that their parts are so similar, the centre press screw and screen filter are identical for breville, hurom, juicepro, aquaport, kuvings and kogan. tefal and sunbeam have their own design, but the screen filter didn't look good enough for me.

i purchased the kogan one while it was $79, $129 at the moment. really impressed and happy with the purchase. perhaps the other brands have different motors, but for this price it's a steal and identical to the other brands. there's a youtube review around if you look for it too. bargain!

  • Will be $424 today at Myer. 15% off electrical home appliances.

    • Yeah I saw it :) I think it is close enough for me to get it! Woohoo juicer for me :D
